• Biaxial Oriented Polyester (BOPET) is a thin, very clear film manufactured using the dual stretch (transverse and machine direction) stenter technique. This film has excellent stiffness characteristics in relation to its thickness and has a high softening and melting point compared with other plastic films. It is an ideal base for photographic films and for drafting and reproduction film. Typical applications are coffee, liquid packaging, freezer to oven ready meals and various lidding applications. Polyester has one of the lowest film barriers to oxygen especially when metallized. The product presents no major health to safety problems when being processed and has wide acceptance in food packaging. It is environmentally friendly and easily recycled.
